83 - Normal

The German Workhorse

Bought for 17k a couple weeks ago

Position: RCM in 433(2)

Chem Style: Maestro

Player Instructions: Get Forward

Fantastic card and player, everywhere in midfield and very good in attack. The reason why it's so good is that his 83 pace allows the use of "quality" chem styles like maestro, which as you know improves passing, dribbling and shooting. honestly i think he's wasted as a lone CDM so, according to my opinion and experience with him, his ideal formation is a 3-midfield one or at least one with 2 CDM (4-2-3-1): you don't want to waste his awesome offensive runs and shooting is a more conservative and defensive role.

Overall, i'd give him a solid 9/10, but now onto pros and cons for a more detailed review:

Pace (9/10): the main reason why i felt comfortable giving him maestro chem style. especially in this fifa, you don't need a speed-boosting chem style on a 83 pace midfielder. use artist/maestro if you want him to play CM, use backbone/powerhouse if you want him to play CDM. he has more than enough pace for both positions

Shooting (9/10): oh boy, with maestro his shooting goes through the roof. he has 87 shotpower / 88 longshots and you'll notice it if you try longshots with him, he also has 72 finishing which is not bad by any means (he's a CM, not a striker) and helps when he finds himself in front of goal after he made his run. 82 positioning and 73 volleys help in both scenarios. very solid 9 goals in 16 games is a good enough proof, i suppose.

Passing (10/10): i mean, 87 vision / 94 short passing / 85 long passing with 76 curve. he combines very well in thight spaces and can spread very accurate longballs to my pacey wingers. you won't get any better from a midfielder for this price.

Dribbling (8/10): he has good stats, even his reactions, and feels smooth most of the times. however do not expect him to turn in a millisecond in super tight situations, he's still 6'2''. still pretty damn nice though, his stats don't lie.

Height (compensates decently for his lack of jumping)

Workrates comined with 'get forward' instruction (helps in defense but also makes awesome runs)

Stamina (he runs a lot so 86 is usually not enough if games go on extra time, he easily plays 90' most of the times tho)

Interceptions

stamina only in extra time

inconsistent heading accuracy

not the strongest

Great card as a CM. He can and will win you games. Love it.

Pace - Very nice pace for a CM.

Dribbling - With engine his dribbling gets a nice boost. Makes him very responsive. Better than alot of CM's

Shooting - Heading is fantastic. Will score headers for fun. Shooting with feet is decent too, but it is better outside of the box.

Defensing - Very nice as a CM. Very nice defensively.

Passing - Nice passing both short and long. Fantastic.

Physical - Feels very good with his height.

Finishing - In the box his finishing can be a pain at times.

Strength - Can feel a little weak, but very rarely.

Stamina - As a CM he can get really tired in the 4-4-2. Normally needs subbing.
